Melisa is a Commonwealth registered civil marriage / funeral celebrant specialising in elopements / micro weddings (but can confidently voice a ceremony in front of hundreds of guests), naming ceremonies and end of life celebrations have special significance for her too. Melisa understands the importance of working with her clients to reflect their relationships, values and ideals to construct a meaningful ceremony. She takes pride on delivering a personalised engaging ceremony leaving a lasting memory for all in attendance, because a ceremony should never be something that has to be endured!
Based in Melbourne, Melisa enjoys travelling to the surrounding areas like Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Daylesford, Greater Geelong even up Warragul way - anywhere you think would be an ideal location for your event.
On a personal note, besides loving her job – which she considers to be more a privilege than work – Melisa uses any excuse to gather family, friends, work colleagues for a celebration (courtesy of her Italian heritage). Her mum said she must’ve been swapped at birth because she even celebrates Halloween, makes pumpkin pie on thanksgiving and sends happy Independence Day messages with a Star Wars theme to her American friends on the 4th of July.
On her days off you’ll find Melisa participating in charity walks, heading out of the city on day trips to the hills, beach, dog park, baking or cuddling her friends’ kids because like a beacon babies are drawn to her calming nurturing nature.
